About Tom (Thomas MacCalman) Morton

with 4 comments

Tom Morton is a broadcaster,  journalist, author and sometime musician based in the Shetland Isles, 200 miles north of the Scottish mainland. He is, however, frequently to be found drinking single malt whisky, strong coffee or weak beer in and around Glasgow and Aberdeen.

He has a website, infrequently updated, and can often be found muttering wildly on Twitter and Facebook. He operates, with wilful indifference, a business called The Mediacroft, for money.

  1. Hello Tom,

Been out of pocket a bit lately. So what’s the quoted benefit of WordPress over Blogger? The calendar looks cool and is a welcome idea, no doubt. It appears to handle images a bit better than Blogger too, yes? Do you plan to abandon Blogger? I guess I’ll need to do some investigation on my own as well.

    Hope all is well!

    Cheers!

  2. Hi Neil. I’m not sure about WordPress yet. Blogger is simpler, but offers less potential I think. you can use WordPress (and typepad, but you have to pay for that) as a mini-website.

  4. Tom,

I was listening to this Australian artist and wondered if you had heard of her before. It seems to fit the music that you sometimes play on your show.

    Cheers
